About Sunset Beach, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Sunset Beach is a Brunswick County town with about 3,600 residents. This seaside community is home to about 3,600 people, meaning the population has almost doubled since the 2000 census. Sunset Beach got its start in 1955, and development began when a bridge was completed to connect the mainland to this beach island. The community was incorporated in 1963 and is situated on the last developed Atlantic Ocean beach before the border with South Carolina. Sunset Beach consists of both a barrier island and mainland neighborhoods with nearly 1,200 homes.

Despite its modest size, Sunset Beach is home to some interesting attractions. Golf is extremely popular in Sunset Beach, with some of the top courses including Sandpiper Bay Golf Course, Thistle Golf Cub and Estates, and Oyster Bay Golf Links. If you’re looking for other ways to spend some time outdoors, check out Summertide Adventure Tours. There are some interesting stores located in the area, including the Sunset Beach Trading Company and Island Breeze, and vacationers looking for a little rest and relaxation may like to book a service at the Coral Tree Salon and Day Spa.

When living in Sunset Beach, you’ll need to take advantage of both home heating and cooling systems. A heat pump or furnace is a necessity during the winter, but the good news is you shouldn’t need it for long. The season tends to be short and quite mild compared to other parts of the U.S., but overnight lows do fall to the 30s. An HVAC repair technician can give your system a tune up to make sure that you are paying as little as possible on utility costs throughout the season.

Climate controls tend to be more important during the summer months, as the weather is hot and humid with highs in the 90s. The muggy air that comes in from the Atlantic will make it feel even warmer, so a reliable air conditioning unit is imperative. Since severe thunderstorms are also common during the season, you’ll really rely on these systems when you are stuck indoors if the weather is poor outside.
