About Longs, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Longs, South Carolina is a small, unincorporated community found in Horry County. It is situated northwest of North Myrtle Beach and can be accessed via SC-9 and SC-905. Similar to other areas of Grand Strand, the area is beginning to grow quickly, and it is now home to numerous business, planned communities, and new housing and commercial developments.

As a fairly small community, Longs isn’t home to many major attractions, but there are a few things to see and do when visiting the area. Golf fans may enjoy booking a round at the Colonial Charters Golf Club, the Long Bay Club, or the Crown Park Golf Club. The Willow Tree RV Resort is a popular destination for visitors who are looking to camp in the area. There are also several interesting shops, including Mr. G’s Plants and Nursery, Golf Dimensions Superstore, and the Little Nursery Farm.

When living in or traveling to Longs, it is important that you are prepared for anything that Mother Nature throws your way. The summer months tend to be hot and humid with high temperatures reaching the 90s. If you are in need of a new central air conditioning unit, your local HVAC repair technician can help you choose an energy efficient option, install it for you, and can provide the periodic maintenance needed to make sure it operates at optimal efficiency.

During the winter months, the mild conditions will have you turning off your air conditioner in favor of a heat pump or furnace. While conditions tend to be comfortable when daily highs reach the low 60s, overnight lows can fall to the freezing point, and when this occurs, the pipes in your home could be at risk of freezing. While you may only need to use these systems for a couple of months, home heating systems are necessary to make it through the winter season comfortably and without requiring an expensive home repair.
